How the text decorators work
Type your text once and the page wraps it in more than twenty decorations built from Unicode symbols: stars, hearts, wings, sparkles, brackets, and wave patterns. A few styles place a symbol between every letter instead.
Every decoration is ordinary text, so it pastes anywhere you can type: bios, display names, captions, messages, and gaming profiles. For styled letters inside the frame, run your text through the font generator first and paste the result here.
Tips for decorated text
- Keep it short. Decorations suit names, headings, and single lines; long paragraphs become hard to read.
- Check the length. Many profiles limit names to 20–30 characters, and every symbol counts as at least one character.
- Test where you publish. Symbols such as ꧁ and ꧂ come from scripts that not every device has a font for, so older systems may show boxes.
- Keep key information plain. Screen readers announce each symbol by name, so leave links and contact details undecorated.
Questions about decorated text
How do I copy a decoration?
Select Copy next to the style you like, then paste it with Ctrl+V, ⌘+V on a Mac, or by touching and holding on a phone.
Can I use decorated text as a username?
Usually not. Most platforms allow only letters, numbers, and a few punctuation marks in usernames, but display names and bios accept symbols.
What are ꧁ and ꧂?
They are Javanese ornamental punctuation marks, U+A9C1 and U+A9C2, called rerenggan. Online they are popular as wing-like brackets around names.
Why do some decorations look different on my phone?
A symbol’s shape comes from the font, and some symbols, such as ♥ and ⚡, appear as color emoji on phones. The characters are the same; only their drawing differs.
